The Mänttä Art Festival offers the broadest cross-section of Finnish contemporary art. The artists are chosen by a different artistic director – curator – every year. In 2013, the task has been given to the artist Jyrki Siukonen (b. 1959).
The Sara Hildén Art Museum is the permanent home of the collection of modern art, Finnish and foreign, owned by the Sara Hildén Foundation. The museum is maintained by the City of Tampere.

The Stable Yards were built for factory owner Wilhelm von Nottbeck's horses and coachmen. The charming Russian style houses in beautiful garden surroundings have now been restored to their original 1880's appearance.
The most notable church in Tampere is undoubtedly the Tampere Cathedral, constructed in the district of Jussinkylä between 1902 and 1907. The church gained its status as a cathedral in 1923, when Tampere became the capital of the diocese.
The stage of Tampere Hall is graced by the international star performers from the world of popular music as well as top soloists in classical music and excellent Finnish performers.
